Small Goals, Small Achievements
Bina Pishi is doing better.
I turned in the two peer-reviews. It was exhausting to say the least. Both of the papers were really bad.
I find online teaching to be really truly exhausting. I have been teaching creative writing classes on a voluntary basis. I do learn things from it, for sure. But, I can also surely say, I do not necessarily enjoy it. The truth is, I do not get that kind of kick out of teaching. Teaching is not something that rocks my boat. It is something I have learned to do reasonably well, and it puts food on my table. Nothing more, nothing less. I have been teaching too much. And maybe if I taught just that one workshop every week, I would feel invigorated by it. But, teaching two classes, and a workshop on top of that, isn't quite working out for me.
Highlights of this: My cub submits his thesis.
I cooked an almost perfect parshe macher jhal.
And, most importantly, a poem of mine gets accepted by a journal.
(Takeaway: Keep writing. Keep reading. Keep submitting. Keep thinking.)
Goals for the coming week: Do some research on sonnets.
Begin to write the creative writing paper.
Finish revising the short story.
